You go girl ! @KaMaMom
We saw Western Carolinaās production of 42nd Street when we visited in the fall. We were all very impressed. The tap dancing was fantastic and the singing was beautiful. It was one of our favorite college shows and we have seen many! It would be a great late audition for anyone who is looking. We loved the school.
I love getting home from school to see good news and positive vibes! Go Class of 2019.
Thanks @EmsDadā!
Never though Iād say this, but I actually miss auditioning for colleges!
Western Carolina is very connected to Terrance Mann and Charlotte DāAmboise!
@KaMaMomā have you looked at Columbia Chicago? I think itās tolling admissions. And, they have MT you audition second semester but it looks like they are allowing auditions now. Also, Univ of Kansas has BA theater and dance.
Cap 21? With or without Molloy also
@Mtnewbie1 ⦠weāre actually right outside Chgo.
D wants to get the hell out of Dodge. Canāt say I blame her! lol! (Hopefully sheāll have the option!)
And someone else brought up Cap 21 ⦠still looking into it!
Much appreciated everyone!
University of West Florida has auditions later this month and April.
AHHHHHHHHHHH! I canāt take this waiting anymore!!! Come on, guys!!!
We loved our visit and our continuing correspondence with the fantastic, friendly faculty and students at Northern Kentucky! It seems like a great program. (I actually want to write about it, but itāll take some time. Itāll come!) So, I really encourage you to audition there. They only have two audition dates, one in November and one in April (the latter of which is for people who are currently in the BA program and want to audition/re-audition for the BFA and for current high school seniors and transfers), and they donāt go to Unifieds.
University of Alabama Birmingham is a new program for MT; this will be its second year. (The acting program is not new.) The head of MT is fabulousāso positive and enthusiastic! I donāt know as much about the program as NKU, but I will try to post when we find out more than what we do right now. I do know that the school is putting a ton of money into the program. I also know that one of my Dās coaches, someone closely connected to one of the single digit chance programs talked about here often, is very excited about the program. So, I encourage you to check them out.
(If you feel like you are having déjà vu and have read this post before, you have. I accidentally posted it in the rejections thread. Sorry!)
Oooo. Friday the 13th. Thatās okay ā my twins were born on Friday the 13th and they turned out pretty good!
NKU is taking applications until March 20 for April 4 auditions.
Anyone heard from Belmont? Not finding lots of info on the program but S is very interestedā¦
I believe I saw a couple of MT BFA Belmont acceptances on twitter today.
