@Pookiesunshine, CCPA Roosevelt looks to fill class of 25 MT Voice/25 MT Dance and 25 Acting every year. I beleive they accept about double that, so there are about 150 total acceptances. The school is very connected in Chicago. Adjuncts work regularly in Chicago theater and the school brings in guest directors for about half of the school productions. My son has worked with the #3 guy at the Goodman Theater and a Jeff-winning choreographer so far. There is a showcase in Chicago senior year. There is no NYC or LA showcase, but they do bring in some agents from those cities. The training, as far as I can tell, is top-notch, on a level with any of the big name conservatories you’ll see mentioned on this board. They are very good about connecting students with internships and outside opportunities. My S interned at Oak Park Shakespeare last year and will have another touring Shakespeare gig this summer
both introduced through faculty recommendations.

@jkellynh17 , thanks for that info. When we went to Chicago in February to check out Unifieds for her for next year, my D mentioned her interest in Roosevelt.

It’s kind of under the radar, but my S’s experience there has been amazing.

Second the positive Roosevelt feedback - it was one of the favorite audition experiences. It was also nice (and convenient) to visit the school while at Unifieds. The experience for D and us was so positive that I literally wrote down the names of the brilliant students we met there in anticipation of seeing their names in lights some day.
