So so exciting!

did I mention that I wasn’t going to think about prescreen decisions for a few weeks? I lied! All this discussion has me teeth grinding again! Such exciting news, @EmsDad,@tmygirl and @MTmom2015!!! Cant wait to (hopefully) see you all on the circuit!

Definitely!! The journey

this crazy thing called MT college auditions!! Looking forward to congratulating you on passed prescreens @ MTkellbell

WOO HOO!!! ALL PRESCREENS SUBMITTED!!!

Welcome to my world, @tmygirl!!! I’m betting you had a great sleep last night!

Heard from Baldwin-Wallace tonight

Yay!!! My S too!!

Also passed the BW Prescreen!

Congrats to all the BW prescreen passes!!!

Passed the Pace prescreen!!! YIPPEEE!!!

YaY!!! @MTkellbell

Didn’t pass Baldwin Wallace :frowning: oh well

Ugh. Sorry @Jewel15‌ this has been and is going to be a bumpy ride
just means BW isn’t the one
deep breaths. On to the next!

At this time last year, I really appreciated that Otterbein instructed the applicant to not apply to the school until the results of the pre-screen were known. Money was flying out of the account to pay for multiple applications, SAT scores to be sent etc., and it was refreshing.

S has submitted 5 pre-screens. Has 12 schools on his list. 8 years ago when I did this with my daughter there was no such thing as pre-screens. It has, thus far, been the most stressful part of the process. We submitted two of the 5 pre-screens on the night of 10/12 and next morning at 10am, S received a ‘yes’ from Pace. It was wonderful and also anxiety producing that they responded so quickly because now he just wants to hear from the rest! Ah well. Fingers crossed. He has auditions scheduled with some of his other schools and, already, there are conflicts to work through. It is a process.

Congrats on all the yes!!

@Jewel15‌ its hard but move on, BW just wasn’t the place for you!! If it makes you feel any better the only rejection my S received last year was from BW. So don’t take it as you aren’t talented enough, its about what the school needs.

Yay, @MTLegacy ! A yes right off is a great thing! My S had a no first (Otterbein), which was tough. But three yes’s later, and the attitude is much improved!

Thanks @MTMajorCook and all others that have done this process previously
really appreciate your wisdom

I actually appreciate the prescreens, though they are a big hassle to put together. I don’t want to spend the money and the emotional energy on a program that is not interested in my D at all. The most difficult thing in the process is not falling in love with a program. My D is great, when I ask her which program she is liking, she replies “I have ten number ones.” She is better at this than her mom! Hang in there friends – this is only the beginning of the waiting.

And, coming from California, getting to all of these auditions in the Midwest and east coast gets to be really expensive.
