@RayznHELL I thought I’d let you know that my daughter did not get accepted to UF. I heard that they didn’t accept any student with less than a 4.0 GPA. I can’t say that I wasn’t surprised since they didn’t accept my son’s admissions back in 2014 and he graduated high school with a 3.9 and with an IB diploma, lots of community service hours, baseball team for 4 years as a pitcher, and a member of three school clubs and President of one for four years. He ended up going to University of Alabama on a full Presidential Scholarship and acceptance into the Honors College, so RTR! My daughter who has serious health issues has been part of Shands UF since she was 5 and has maintained a 3.7 GPA despite set backs with her health especially her Junior year. She has 75 hours of documented community service and several more hours of undocumented. And has been a member of her high schools national award winning dance team for four years. UF lost some great students by not accepting my children. But Alabama has been a great fit for my son, and I am positive FAU’s college of Nursing will be perfect for my daughter. Still a Gator fan…or in my case an ALA Gator fan.

@BAmom1996 Congratulations on Univ of Alabama acceptance for your daughter. My DD is not going to UF either (The Nov 1 application deadline had already passed after we realized Ivies were not a sure deal)! We will see what her choices are later.
