@Momeila The problem with sharing stats is that they are only part of the story. They do share them on the college sites (and on the awful ‘chances’ threads). What I have noticed is that it is very difficult to predict success on test scores and grades. The Adcoms look at so much else and a 3.9 at one school isn’t the same as at another. Plus the circumstances and experiences of all the kids differ so much.
My concern is actually that by publishing their “stats” students do each other a disservice. We were told by people on CC that all our colleges were “reaches”. Every one turned into an acceptance. I’d frankly like the “chances” threads to be banned.
