And freshman class size has been creeping up a tad over the past ten years, but I don’t see UofM expanding the freshman class much more and they have probably got it down to a science how many admits yield how many enrollments as well as profiles of OSS and Intl students that accept an offer of admission, so the only thing impacting numbers are the number of applications which soared with the check the box common app and that will level out. Instate is probably even clearer since UofM meets need for in-state while other unis in Michigan don’t guarantee that. The crapshoot instate kids who comprise probably a fairly insignificant number of the totals are the cream of the crop that have no need…and can go anywhere they choose.
