Hi there- was wondering if anyone knows anything about the type of students Syracuse accepts. I have herad rumors that they only want dancers in their MT program, is this usually the case? I dance but I would not consider myself a dancer before an singer/actor. I thought the dance audition was of moderate difficulty but I wasn’t totally freaked out about it because I thought I did well with my songs and monologues. I am just so anxious and I’m wondering how much of a chance I really have.
@bwaybelter -Things change from year to year, but my D was accepted in 2014- and she is not a “dancer”. Bottom line- you never know

@aquarose26 @LBSMOM Hartt has started accepting. My d. got the phone call two hours after her audition. We know of a few others by email but it does seem like a trickle - I don’t know if they have an official date. Hang in there…
This Michigan thing is crazy - I am reading postings through social media and I should stop. My poor kiddo has a stomach flu and is lying on the bathroom floor - clutching her phone. Bad news is all she needs. She just told me she is leaving everything to the cats. And once again Nothing in the mail!
Just curious…Am I the only one who really doesn’t want to see emails inviting their kid to Accepted Students Day?!
I signed my daughter up for Accepted Students Day at FSU a while back…I will be cancelling. Did anyone actually get a rejection letter from them yet? I know all the calls went out last week but we still haven’t received anything from them.
@Slow Ride did the email say you were still in the running or did it directly say waitlist? Bc they release who’s still being considered about a month after auditions.
@bwaybelter my son is on a chat and they just started today. We have not heard anything from Pace ye, but one boy messaged he got in just a few minutes ago.
Question: I auditioned for Michigan in January and got an email i was in the final pool. my friend got wait listed, and i keep checking my portal and nothing has shown up. i heard that calls are going out today, but have not received one. is that for sure? there’s no talk of it on the company. getting very anxious

Could you all mention what schools you are talking about when posting as the posts go up at different times, and unless you mention a school in your post, people don’t know where you are talking about when you have questions.

What would you like to know about NWU? My daughter is a current sophomore there and she LOVES it … she’s found her home for certain.
They do about 40-50 shows a year … crazy I know, but very true. My own kiddo was onstage by September of her freshman year - they are always auditioning/rehearsing for something.
Lincoln is always ranked pretty high on best college towns - it’s for the University of Nebraska, not NWU - but Wesleyan benefits from this great town. Low crime, great restaurants, very friendly people … it’s a great place.
I would be happy to answer any and all questions you have about this gem of a school we found (because of CC, btw) … I’ll answer publicly if you want so others can benefit or feel free to private message me.
@Mardeen, sorry to hear about Penn. Did your portal just change tonight? Mt sons still says: Is this what yours said before your notification? We are still waiting for most of our schools. I can’t wait until this is over!!!
Admission to your program includes both a talent review and an academic review. Both must be favorable to gain admission to the program.
