@muttsandMT My daughter also get sick quite easily and lost her voice before Chicago Unifieds. We were actually able to re-schedule several auditions there, and then again a couple weeks later at an on-campus audition when she got sick AGAIN. Everyone was very nice, but that being said, there is no guarantee that they will have other slots available.

My D, who was WL at Ball State received a redirection email to Theater Studies and an invitation to apply second semester, if I’m reading it correctly?
She’s not interested because she made her decision last weekend, but I thought I’d share the info in case anyone else is waiting to hear from them.

@sopranomtmom The kids completely opened their arms to him. He sat in on 3 classes and fell in love. What a special place and great opportunity. I look forward to meeting all of the MT kids/parents over the next four years.

Financial aid question: D wants to go ahead and commit to her school by making a deposit, but I am still working with Financial Aid on getting more grant money. I am worried if we deposit then they will have no incentive to work with us on the financial aid. Or does it matter?
@collegemom2000, I’d wait til you get word on the grant money. You still have two weeks to put in the deposit.
I feel like I am negotiating in the same way we negotiated for my house here. So, when the school comes back and gives you a couple thousand more, and that is still not enough, should you stop there and deal with that? Or should you continue to see if you can get closer to where you want your net to be? Would that hurt us?

We toured campuses last week, talked to numerous parents and students over the course of this past month. My daughter made her final decision last night! I can’t believe we are past this milestone! Will post in Final Decision thread later.
