I was disappointed in not being accepted to University Park so I asked for a
reconsideration on Friday 12/13 (over the phone) along with an email sent on 12/12 to a admissions officer I have talked to at a info session.
Monday 12/15 I received an email back from the admissions officer apologizing for being late but saw how I was able to talk over the phone with admissions.
Again on Monday I sent an email back thanking the admissions officer and basically saying I will 100% choose Penn State if reconsidered.

For the past few days Iāve been reading through these and everyone is so smart! I got a little scared ahaha. Just donāt lost hope! This was my dream school and Iām so happy

Got accepted into the 2 + 2 at Berks. I think my daughter was a bit disappointed but in the end UP may have been too much for her. I told her she will be accepted into where she is supposed to be I & I really think that is true. Congrats to everyone. Glad the wait is over!!! Regardless of which campus you start or end in, the end result is #WEARE
Should i wait for my decision to ask to be reconsidered for a new major? I applied to Smeal and iām in state but iām expecting to get the 2+2 or a deferral.

@girlfromca20
Your stats are excellent indeed.
However you got direct admit and if you ask for reconsideration you may be reconsidered for UP but not for direct entry nursing.
If you already have a direct entry acceptance then itās worth the risk but otherwise you might want to use this as a safety.
I got my acceptance this morning!!

@jreev23 What are your stats like? How are they compared to the kids you are seeing getting offered admission? Did you check summer?
Not sure if you know - it doesnāt matter is you are pre-major Smeal or pre-major DUS (undecided). Everyone has to take the same entrance to majors and get a 3.2 (or 3.5 for finance). You can take those ETM classes as a DUS OR Smeal student. Not as Liberal Arts or Communications or Agriculture, etc.
