@ayeitsmandaxo , unfortunately, it sounds like you may be deferred until after the holidays. Last year, Penn State couldn’t get to everyone before the 12/24 notification timeline. You may receive an email indicating that a decision will come next month. This doesn’t mean your application was reviewed so don’t jump to the conclusion that deferral is necessarily a reflection of the quality of your application. High stat kids were also deferred last year. The waiting is just an unfortunate byproduct of their process, timing around the holidays, and popularity of PSU (high volume of applicants).

People aren’t usually denied outright…they are usually offered a commonwealth campus and the 2+2 program if they are denied from UP.
And yes, there have been lots of people offered 2+2 rather than UP

Lots of people are still waiting. Deadline for decisions for priority decisions is Jan 31 so you still have time. No need to worry

I’m really glad I got into Penn State as it’s my second choice, but I’ll have to figure out how to afford the extra 13k I need for summer session before committing.
