BTW @acjohnson2020 - I have your exact stats, also applied to Ross + I am also a competitive figure skater and a certified figure skating coach (been doing the exams, seminars, etc) - no X.
Do you even realize what you started? You sir/madam, would be considered a freaking genius, if this turns out to be true. If not true, well I donât know
The only thing is, however, that there are so many people on here OOS that DO have an X. Is it really possible that all these people got in considering how many people UMich defers OOS?
@peaceandface Not likely. What is possible is that they would defer such a candidate to determine whether they are really serious about Michigan (via waiting for early decision candidates to announce they are withdrawing). I believe this happens in part because in past years many of the deferred candidates get acceptances even before or on the deadline for Regular Decision applications.
so son reported back about half the people he spoke to had an X, others didnât. out of 6.
those that had an X: high stats, great ECs, one has ties to the school.
those that did not (inc. my son): good-great stats, great ECs.
all are in a competitive high school, many of the kids are in the same classes, sports and ECs.
whatâs the likelihood that decisions will be released today around 3-4 PM EST? do we think they will definitely be released today or does tomorrow sound more likely?
