Do you have to apply to the honors college?
In the past it is a smaller event on the 150 or so student attendee, has a great yield on attendance to actually enrolling so it must do something right and provides good information on the University. The Stamps scholar interviews are usually that same weekend. Worth it is a personal question for your family.
Yes, I think deadline is Jan 15
Does anyone know if applying to the Clark honors college give any extra financial support that you might not get otherwise? We are OOS and really need to cut the cost, however my son does not meet most of the requirements for many scholarships.
Because Iâll get more aid if I am admitted to Clark but I donât have the stats to meet the scholarships otherwise? Probably not - youâll just pay an extra $3k to be in Clark.
Does anyone know when Duck Days will be announced on Oregonâs website? Iâve been checking daily.
Hoping someone can shed some light. My D was accepted back in November OOS with the Summit Scholarship. She also received an invitation to attend the Honors College information day. Her acceptance does not mention her Major, it doesnât mention it in her portal either. The other schools she was accepted into all mention her major. Is this typical for UofO?
look on bottom left of her acceptance letter in small fontâit should list her major
Oh geez! There it is! Ha Ha! Thank you! So much for our good observation skills!
No, it costs more to be part of the honors college.
Do you mind to share your daughterâs stats? My D25 will be applying next year. Thanks!
What are the guidelines of the architecture portfolio?
Other than putting the portfolio in a PDF, there wasnât much in the way of specific guidelines. They do offer some thoughts on what to submit - Apply for a Bachelor of Architecture | School of Architecture & Environment
S24 had about 16 separate pieces in his portfolio, with most of them being observational drawings. He also had a craft item and a project he did during a summer architecture program.
Do you mind me asking what your studentâs stats were?
What were your students stats for acceptance?
Sorry - was away from CC for a bit. S24 had a 3.85 UW/4.35W gpa, 1360 SAT (submitted), over 10 AP classes, and decent ECs.
Thank you for the info!
Hi there - I am reading last years posts to get an idea of how things may go for this year. I have a question. Daughter has applied (this year) for Int. Arch. We were wondering, do they get TWO communications related to acceptance? First from the school on if they were accepted per the University requirements? And then another, later (by end of Dec) about if they were accepted to the Arch program? Or, is it just one communication after the Arch program has made their decision?
