I tried to clarify with the students I spoke to, and they are under the impression (correct or not!) that all $$ will be reported with acceptances. Best of luck to you!! Are you waiting on other decisions after this?

Wow! Such great news!!

Yes we have quite a few still to go this week

Fantastic!

Well, best of luck on everything! D’s best friend is waiting on her top choice, BoCo, and said she was supposed to find out on Sunday. I’m pretty invested in the decision, though D did not apply there. I feel like this week is so climactic! Our anxiety is still centered around $ over here.

We are waiting for BoCo also - I hear you with the $ - relieved we have McGill - as it is so much cheaper than US schools. Wishing everyone good scholarships!!!

For those waiting on Boston Conservatory, I am wondering if you can share why this school is at top of list for your child. My daughter got in Early Action, but she has other schools she is also considering.

One big plus with BoCo is the merger with Berklee- relevant for some and not others!

I know this is actually the opposite of what you asked, but my D did not apply because she doesn’t really want a conservatory for her undergrad experience. (Although she did submit a video audition for Eastman). I think she might be interested in that environment for her grad studies. For her best friend, BoCo is at the top of the list because she IS looking for conservatory study, but primarily because of a prof in her studio with whom she is quite desperate to study!

Edited because I was ashamed of my grammar.

BoCo - teacher and location. It was the only school my daughter applied to close to home. It is walking distance to Symphony Hall in Boston. My daughter has friends that go to BU and other schools.

Good point. College freshman parent here. My son THOUGHT he wanted to “just study music” in school so he applied to a mix
after tours, visits, auditions, etc he decided he loved the campus/college experience and wound up at UNT for jazz and loves it. It came down to 3 universities and ultimately the professor was his deciding factor!

FYI- My son just received scholarship offer from Jacobs SoM at Indiana a few minutes ago. It shows how much is music and how much is academic.

We are anxiously awaiting Michigan SMTD which comes out tomorrow.

He has not heard from Penn State SoM although he is no longer considering it.
