My son (National Scholar as well) was dragging his feet on making his final decision to attend OU so he got a June 1 registration date.
Our credit union allows us to transfer money from our account via an app into his account in literally minutes (we have separate accounts at the credit union). Other financial institutions might also offer this benefit. I love it because whenever I have to pay for something that he’s purchasing with his debit card I just transfer money online. I also intend on getting a credit card in his name as well. I trust him to not go hog wild on my dime so this will work for us. I didn’t want to have to open an OU credit union account as he’d have to worry about closing it at a later time. There’s also a “shared branching” location that is a 7 minute bus ride from campus. That’s Plan B If he ever needs a cashier’s check or access to larger amounts of cash.
