class registration questions

My D is going to be a freshman coming fall. I have few basic questions.

  1. When university calculates GPA, do they use only the courses taken at the university or will they include any courses which are going to be credited to satisfy the degree requirements (AP courses) ?
  2. Since we are in CA, my D got the phone session with the freshman adviser which is required before she can register for the class. But she got only in June 15 the phone session. When does OU starts the freshman advisory sessions?
  3. What are the banks recommended which is within the campus (she is not going to have a car) or within walking distance?
