Clemson Admissions - Class of 2023 DISCUSSION

Trust me, I was too. All my other stats were extremely high, I just can’t take tests. I got a 27 on my ACT which is pretty close to a 1200 on the SAT.

Hack changed this morning. OOS. Went directly to Net Price Calculator and calculates no expected scholarship or aid. Happy son got in but no aid is very disappointing. Good luck to all

How can you check without packet info? Thx

I am on the other end of the spectrum my daughter who is currently a Freshman got 15K a year and if she was going in this year she would get 20K a year…

My daughter gets test anxiety and is not a good standardized tester. Congratulations!

@burghdad That’s interesting. Was the top award previously $15K? Might explain why they changed the distribution; i.e., to make room for another level without substantially increasing the overall budget.

@PSU83EE Yes. Previously there were 3 OOS merit scholarship levels - $7.5K, $10K, and $15K.

@PSU83EE What are the cutoffs now. My son 1410 3.65 school does not rank. Is the Net Price Calculator accurate?

Could we expect to see more hack changes after today or is today pretty much it?

what is hack?

My hack also changed this morning saying “Welcome to Clemson.” I have a 3.8 GPA weighted, 1190 SAT no super score, showed major interest in Clemson and will most likely be attending in the fall if the hack is correct, and my resume was 3 pages long of all different after school activities, student council, founder of a club, CCD teacher and more. I applied to the education school to become a teacher. Hope this helps

@goinnuts my understanding is that If the school does not rank, you can’t use the net price calculator to determine whether you got a merit scholarship or the amount.

My daughter’s status changed when I checked today. Haven’t checked in a few weeks so not sure when it happened originally. Florida, top high school, top 15% of class, 1250 SAT, 3.5 unweighted 6.05 weighted 4 year letter athlete but not playing in college.

Been checking this today to see what everyone is reporting.

15 reporting - status change
7 reporting- still getting “unable to determine acceptance status”
Looks like roughly a 68% acceptance rate based on our small sample.

Hoping that more status changes will happen later in the week, but that’s probably doubtful given the number of changes seen today. :frowning:

Daughter applied to nursing, which is very competitive. OOS. 1290 SAT. 4.1 GPA. 8 APs, rest honors. Outstanding extracurriculars. However, she goes to a very competitive high school and was only in the top third as of the end of junior year. Will likely be closer to top 20% with her high mid-year senior grades, but that will be too late for rank-loving Clemson.

This is my first post so I hope I’m doing it correctly. Congratulations to all who are hearing good news. I’m getting stressed and hoping for more to show up. My son is 1410 sat, 3.6 unweighted. State awarded level soccer player, 2sport varsity athlete. many leadership positions and EC’s, most honors, 4Ap’s. He really wanted to be a Tiger.

Status changed to Welcome to Clemson earlier today! Will this mean that the packages will arrive early?

@RightyRiper Based on previous history…My guess is that you will get it between Thursday and next Monday.

I’ve been watching this discussion since December to see how everyone is doing. Congrats to everyone who has heard back! I’m starting to stress as the hack still says Unable to Determine Acceptance Status. I’ve gotten into all the other schools I’ve applied to (around the same level) so I’m hoping I’ll be okay but I’m wondering if anyone else’s still hasn’t changed?

Congrats to all those with “status updates”. Just as a guide my son’s updated on a Friday and the envelope arrive the following Friday. We live in Maine so it could be a day or 2 quicker if you live closer.
