Clemson Admissions - Class of 2023 DISCUSSION

@mommamo1 I am with you. It’s hard to stay strong, but I can’t bring myself to look at it. As hard as it is to wait, I don’t want to spend all week freaking out if the hack hasn’t changed for him. Honestly knowing I could find out right now is killing me haha. We can do this!

@xn3mom What date are you referring to for college of Engineering for February 23rd? I must have missed something. My daughter is engineering too and I’m not aware. Thanks

what are some stats for people who haven’t had a hack change yet?

@lynbrd1 Have her check her email for “You’re invited to Future Tiger Day”. They sent an email a few days after his acceptance (in November).

Does anyone know what the deal is with the Bridge hack? It worked a few days ago but has been down for past two days. Anyone have info???

@melmat42 Holding on to hope for business school OOS …1350 SAT/30 ACT and 3.8UW/4.1W. School only ranks the unweighted, so hoping admissions still considers the AP and honors classes. Disappointed that Clemson only looks at numbers because strong ECs.

Would love to hear other “status change” stats, and other “unable to determine” stats for OOS kids, specifically business.
I’d love to be able to be the one to stay the hack was wrong!! LOL!

My son is also OOS and has similar stats Applied Business school; still waiting.

@ptptmom My OOS D was accepted as pre-business major at Clemson on Jan. 11. Her stats were 32 ACT and 3.85 UWGPA. Not sure about her weighted GPA, but can tell you she has taken mix of AP and honors classes for all academic courses past 4 yrs. She had good mix of EC and volunteer hours, not that Clemson bothers to consider this. Not to sound like rotten grapes, but wondering if my D would have earned a better academic scholarship if she had attended one of the less competitive HS in our area where she would undoubtedly have been in top 10% where they rank. It seems as if CU is all about the numbers! Her school does NOT rank, but positive she wouldn’t be in top 10% since it’s really competitive. At this point, just grateful she got a spot at Clemson (it’s her top pick) since it sounds as if the applicant pool was outstanding this year. I bet lots of folks on this thread will be receiving good news in the next week when the bulk of acceptances hit the hack/mail. Good luck to all!

can someone post the bridge link? and what will it say if ive been given bridge

Bridge link is no longer working.

@223hopeful Someone recently reported in another trhead that the Bridge Program is now full/closed. ???

When you click on the bridge link: https://iroarservices.app.clemson.edu/bridgeinterest/ it says is full for the 2018-2019 academic year, which is this year. You would be the 2019-2020 academic year.

Does anyone know how they notify waitlisted? Would the hack change if one was waitlisted? Thanks. And congrats to all who got in.

Last year if you were denied or waitlisted, you got a small white envelope around the same time acceptances were received.

@kwajmama my S18 was waitlisted last year and he got a postcard in the mail. We never tried the hack. He was OOS, 1350 SAT, 4.4w, 3,5 uw, top 15%, NHS, 4 years Lacrosse, and applied undecided. He was accepted EA by NC State, so he turned down the waitlist.

@chb088 Thank you for responding and sharing the stats. I’m hopeful on waitlist as he is oos, 1410, 3.6 UW, honors and 4 Ap’s, inc BC Calc. He is All-State First Team Soccer (grade 12), All-State Second Team (Grade 11), all conference, etc. etc. etc and many other awards related to is sport. 2 Sport Varsity Captain, Leadership positions, Service, etc. (Too bad I didn’t List 3rd place in States Science Olympiad event in 8th grade - lol I mentioned that for some humor!) I’m unfortunatley finding that dedication to sports isn’t really considered an asset in the application process. They end up missing so many classes traveling to games, might not be worth it. Several Colleges offered him athletic spots but he wants to follow academic passions at certain schools. He’s at an extremely competitive high school but still in top 2 stats from all who have ever gotten into Clemson. He applied engineering and second choice undecided. (Weird, he is in the running for a scholarship at Virginia Tech, but not accepted to Clemson).

CONGRATULATION TO ALL. I’m very happy for everyone. Hopefully he will get waitlisted and see all your wonderful, achieving, unique, and well deserving students there.

@kwajmama yes S18 was also in the running for scholarships and honors college at VT but none came through although he was admitted OOS. He’s very happy in state at NCSU.

@chb088 Thanks for keeping me hopeful. I’ll just take an acceptance at this point!

Just a feeling but I’m thinking that since CU shutdown the bridge hack they probably also stopped updating the regular admission hack until they mail the letters. That’s just a wild guess though. I’d expect the next update on Monday. Best of luck everyone. I’m still waiting as well…

Tried the hack yesterday and just now…both days entering the CUID # from the landing page gets me to “enter acceptance code”. I don’t know what to think.

There’s lots of love for Clemson here in GA, it has a great reputation. I hear so many great things about CU from local parents and it’s definitely not sour grapes of their kids not getting in UGA or Tech. South Carolina has some of the nicest people, and the area with the rolling hills, mountains in the distance, and Lake Hartwell…well, it’s just a wonderful place to be. I’d be excited for my daughter to look at it again if she’s accepted though it wouldn’t be great financially as we’re OOS and not planning on loans.

Good luck to all - fingers crossed for all of you!
