@eaglesarefun use the hack in the link and it will let you see if you have been accepted or not
The hack worked for my daughter! I tried it Monday and she got her Tigertown Bound envelope in the mail yesterday! She is from NC and accepted in Engineering.
Got mine in nj!
Regarding the hack on how to tell early… mine says “unable to determine acceptance status”. Does this mean I have been deferred? I applied mid October so I would assume they have already made a decision. I applied to health sciences which is a fairly popular major but not as competitive as engineering by any means.
Should I be expecting anything in the mail this month? My weighted GPA is a 4.702, and my ACT score is 28. My test scores are not high enough to receive merit aid, but I am a Palmetto Fellow and had heard that some fellows receive a December acceptance. I applied to the nursing program. I tried the hack and it says “enter the code from your acceptance letter”, but I’m worried I’ll have to wait until February 15 to get the letter.
@gotigers2023 sounds like your letter should be coming very soon. My son’s status changed from “unable to determine admission status” to “enter code on acceptance letter” last week and he got his Tigertown Bound envelope yesterday. I bet your good news is coming soon…
@ncmom1317 what were your daughters scores/GPA for engineering acceptance
When did he apply? I’m curious. I applied in mid October and it still says “unable to determine”
@kgracey17 Receiving a letter isn’t tied to when your student applied. They don’t have rolling admissions. Higher stat students are the ones that might, but not always, hear early.
So nervous mom here my daughter applied for engineering back when application opened August 1st and she is still waiting. This is here number one pick and she won’t even look at her other acceptances. I think I have gathered a website that we can enter her application XID number in to check status but her’s says unable to determine acceptance status. She has a 31 ACT 1410 SAT 4.02 GPA. Anyone have any thoughts to ease my nerves.
Congrats to her! I am curious how early she applied and what her scores are? Also when you tried the hack did it say enter code on acceptance letter and not unable to determine admission status?
@momatl 31 ACT, 4.5 GPA and top 3% class rank. From what I’ve read they really use these to determine. Not sure what they do for those that don’t have ranking but there are some that have been accepted early as well. Good luck!
Thanks @ncmom1317. My daughter’s scores are very similar (ACT 33 and 4.2 GPA) and applied in September, but school does not rank. fingers crossed.
Does anyone know how to submit mid year grades? I applied EA but have my mid years already and think it would help my application.
My understanding of that they build class profiles for schools that don’t rank.
So for instance, my kids go to a high performing public school where the top 10% would have GPAs between 4.55-4.75, and the top 40% are above a 4.25.
So if a kid sent a transcript with 4.25 GPA from our school, Clemson would know their approximate rank, and that it’s not in the top 25%.
But if a someone went to a school that offered less AP classes, a 4.25 might make you the highest in the class. And they would generally know that based on the school profile.
So for GPA, you aren’t competing against kids from other schools, you are just being compared to kids in your own school via the school profile.
@lynbrd1 Receiving a letter isn’t tied to when your student applied. There is no EA at Clemson and they don’t do rolling admissions. Only a small percentage of letters have gone out. Clemson mails the vast majority of their letters the week of Feb 15th. I wouldn’t think anything of her not hearing yet. Most applicants haven’t heard and again, applying early doesn’t have anything to do with when you hear back.
Accepted into the nursing program today! ACT 28. GPA 4.702. What a great Christmas present! Go Tigers!
My daughter got her acceptance on Christmas Eve! It says she received an academic scholarship, but amount will come in February.
do admissions decisions only come out via mail? or is there a portal where you can see it
@mea2023 you can try the hack and see if that helps you, other than that you will find out via snail mail. The hack is a great way to try it though. It may say something like “unable to determine status” but when the acceptance has been changed it goes to a different site saying “Welcome to Clemson, please enter your ID on your acceptance letter” try it out and see if it works for you, it has worked for several others so far, good luck!
