<p>I would guess the dorms vary pretty much in size. You can go to the Residential Life page in the Brown web site and click your way through various dorms. </p>

<p>Doesn’t give much info about size, though. My daughter lived in New Pembroke her first year and the room was a decent size. The closets were pretty small, though. Also, the dorms tend to seem old and somewhat dilapidated. That can be off-putting. But that also is pretty normal, I think. It’s hard to judge how much to bring. It’s better to underestimate and get whatever you need after you arrive. Thayer Street has some clothes shopping and Providence Place Mall is within walking distance (although it’s down the hill). You can always get whatever you need.</p>
