co-ed bathrooms at Vassar - do boys and girls shower together

Collegedad was some taken aback at the idea of shared bathrooms, but felt much better after he saw them. In Jewett the “bathroom” was a U-shaped room with doors at each end. Along one side was a row of toilet stalls with floor to ceiling walls and (locking) doors, across the end was a row of sinks and along the other side was a row of shower stalls, again with floor to ceiling walls and (locking) doors. Collegekid2 never felt in the least uncomfortable. As a senior she lived in the college apartments, which was 5 or 6 bedrooms with 2 shared bathrooms- the group agreed that the boys would use one and the girls the other b/c the girls liked to keep theirs cleaner than the boys did!

There is also an all-women dorm, Strong.
