Collection of Typos in Dr. Chung's Book

Yes, let us know!

^ ditto …

I did the first 50 tips, then took 19 of the practice tests but didn’t take one the day before the SAT. I reviewed every wrong answer and looked at my weaknesses. My main weakness was geometry also, and this book had so many difficult geometry problems that once I mastered those, the SAT geometry problems were very easy. I got a 780, and went up from a 670. I only studied for a month, and would’ve gotten a perfect score had it not been for a simple mistake. If you’re dedicated and willing to work at it, this book can help you.

@ wrongbelief, what did you do when you didn’t understand the tips or how to do some questions on the practice tests in Dr. Chung’s book? Because, currently, i’m just posting like every single question I have on CC, but I don’t know if some people are getting annoyed with me posting so many question. :). So, i’m just curious to know what you did.

Try to figure it out on your own, even if it takes an hour. That’s how you learn. If you still can’t solve it, then ask around CC.

Where can you even buy the book?

I bought mine from amazon. It was pretty expensive…about $30, including S&H.

@livelikeali-
I just looked thru the answer keys for the tests. They don’t seem much different from the answer keys for the tips.
Are you saying that the explanations don’t make sense to you? Or they aren’t explained sufficiently?

@wrongbelief–
I usually can answer them correctly but can’t get to the last few in each section. Any tips for pacing oneself thru the sections other than to speed up?!

well, Because the explanations aren’t explained sufficiently, they don’t make sense to me. So…yea for both reasons, I’m having a little trouble with the book. But once I understand it I think it really helps me, and kind of gives me a little confidence booster because now I know how to do a problem (after about taking a hour to do about 2 or 3 tips) I didn’t know how to do before. :)

Well that’s good.
I myself would have to go thru the tips first though.
Good luck with it!

I’ve never heard of this guy until 2 weeks ago. Seems sketchy.

@nynyny

I never timed myself while taking the tests. Those tests were WAY too hard to time. I just tried to solve the problems.

His book is $30 with tax.

Shipping was free.

@ loseyourself, this guy meaning me?? That’s because I wasn’t really preparing for the SAT and now that i’ve started, CC seems really helpful. Why is it “sketchy” to you ??

^ He’s talking about Dr Chung.

[NEW YORK ETON ACADEMY > About Us](http://www.nyetonacademy.com/AboutUs/tabid/127/Default.aspx)

I’ve heard about Dr. Chung’s helping with those last few problems. I usually have trouble with the last 2-4 problems in the math section, and sometimes a careless mistake here and there. But mostly, I honestly just blank out and don’t know at all how to do some of them.

People say that it’s good for going from like 750-800, but I’m only getting around 600-650’s (i.e. not getting the last few on each of the three sections).

I have Gruber’s, so should I go ahead and finish that or just go with Chung’s to pinpoint on those last few problems?

Thanks

Common tip around here: 650 < use Gruber’s
650 > use Chung’s

Usually if you’re scoring very high 600s (680, 690) go with Chungs, if not use Grubers.

Well I bought it anyway, expecting some improvement to get me to that 750+ level. Thanks for actually responding, you’re one of the few useful CC members who actually does.
