I know it’s hard to believe but there is no “year behind” after high school. Seriously. Some people will take 5,6 years to graduate from college. Will they be a year or two behind? Some people will work a few years and then go to college. Suppose everyone graduates from college in four years. Well, some people will go straight to graduate school for a few more years. Are they behind the people who decided to work? You’ll find that life isn’t a race. There is no “behind”. (but, I’m someone who went to grad school twice, and didn’t settle down until my mid-30s…)
