Yep - these guys are for real. I hate to say it but I don’t know if the Ducks would beat them even at full strength. They are just getting overpowered.
Sad Duck . . . maybe it was destiny after all. OSU played a great game and should put the TCU issue to bed for awhile (until xiggi weighs in). They are so young they will certainly be formidable in the future.

For you Ohio fans, a fun fact. I dated a QB from there(when he was in the pros) named Art. Well, we all know how that turned out. Actually a very decent guy, except for the one major flaw.

I would like to commend Oregon for suspending the two players caught smoking pot. Some schools would have overlooked this or dealt privately with the issue.

Yep - onward. I need to get out of football mode and get stuff done between now and Sunday. Besides the helmet is binding. OSU was great and earned it. Between a couple key injuries and the suspensions the Ducks were thinner that one would like but they just looked overmatched as well. That was some 3rd start for the QB! Best of luck to him.
Next year I will start fresh rooting form my University of Washington Huskies. Hopefully they will have a quarterback that I can get behind next season.

I think the confetti was actually metallic gold. That seemed to be part of the color scheme for the championship.
The Ducks were crushed. Poor Marcus Mariota. He looked despondent at the end. I hope he falls in the draft and Chip Kelly scoops him up, where he can develop his protégé for a year or two before turning him into the Second Coming of Aaron Rodgers. [/pipe-dream]
Peyton Manning should call Mariota and give him a pep talk. Or maybe Mariota should call Manning and try to cheer him up? Brutal weekend for those guys!

Mike and Mike who have been inexplicably high on Winston despite his unflattering showing in the Rose Bowl AND his unflattering personal conduct now believe that Mariota’s performance (bad, they thought) will guarantee that Winston will be the first draft pick. I was thinking when they said it that good for him . . . going to Tampa Bay seems like a booby prize if there ever was one. I was hoping exactly the same thing that Mariota falls a bit and ends up on a team that had some difficulty but isn’t a perennial looser.
Elliott was very impressive the last two games. The NFL teams must be licking their lips anticipating him entering the draft perhaps after next season.

Tampa Bay may be down right now, but they at least have one Super Bowl Championship title on their resume (2003). Minnesota, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, San Diego, Atlanta, Tennessee, Carolina, Arizona, Cleveland, Detroit, Houston, and Jacksonville have never won a Super Bowl game.
The Bucs will be back…Winston could help.
Tampa will be hosting the NCAA National Championship football game in 2 years. Outdoors, real grass, and fighter jets buzzing fans in stadium without roof.
