I can certainly understand being interested in both small and large schools, but “sense of community” would not be my first impression while visiting Reed in particular. It’s a great school if it’s a fit, but it’s important to visit and get a feeling for it.

Yeah I totally get that. My main question is tho, do you think Reed College could be a target for me??
You really need to research and visit Reed to see if it’s a match for you. It’s a unique place and is not a fit for everyone, and will appeal to a certain type of student. I’ve posted about our family’s visits there, do some searching here on CC for impressions as well as other research before deciding if it’s a “match.”

Yeah, that list is WAY too long. The best way to solve that problem is to have the “money” talk with your parents.
