You don’t apply for it, they offer it. You get no priority registration, you just move in earlier by a day or two than the gen admision.

The dorms are based on the program. scholars live in Cambridge community, Gemstone lives in Denton, and I believe Honors is Ellicott. The dorm is a dorm, don’t be looking to get a suite. Even if there are suites available that goes to upperclassmen with more points.

Honors do help you qualify for housing all four yrs, but you are guarantee housing as a freshmen

Most kids move out into apartments as upperclassman.

I believe it is a requirement that you must be on some type of meal plan if you are in the typical dorm. There are dorms that are converted apartments and you can opt out if you have kitchen facilities.

I don’t believe there is an engineering dorm per se. If you are an engineer in honors or gemstone than you will be dormed with them, If you are just an engineering student and not in a program you will live in a dorm with other general admit students.
