<p>PaPa Chicken - My DD had the criteria of warm weather, beach and snowboarding also - lol - well - she was successful in finding just the right place - in NC - cept the beach is about 1 1/2 hours away and she is on a club boarding team that participates in the southeast conference of USCSA - there are quit a few schools in NC and VA in the conference - UNC/CH - ECU - Appalachian State - which is right in the mountains - has a real coach - has 2x/w practices, etc… - also UVA, JMU and several more.</p>
<p>The ECU team has been to nationals 3 times in the past 3 years - have ranked pretty high in the southeast - and the girls team has done pretty well at nationals also - especially for an area without much snow lol. They have 4 conference race weekends and if they qualify - on to nationals which alternate between east coast and west coast - Maine for March 2006. - it is a great program for schools that don’t have varsity teams - and the snowboarding program is fairly new for USCSA - but the demand is definitely there. Alot of the kids do some boarding over winter break, and some teams do have some practice time - but not all - DD’s team does not - too far from the mountains.</p>
