College transfer

^^^ Exactly. Choose your first university with the plan to stay there for all four years. If you are unhappy, then apply for transfer.

Transferring after one semester, and then immediately transferring again doesn’t make much sense. If you are still thinking that Simmons might turn out to be too expensive, I suppose I can understand having the back-up plan of transferring to UMass Boston after one semester. But if you find that you have to do that, you should plan to stay at UMass Boston long enough to collect decent letters of recommendation before trying to transfer again.

Would it make sense for you to just take a gap year and apply to a new list? That way you could apply to Northeastern as a freshman applicant and your chances for decent financial aid would be better.
