I wouldn’t bother with the special days if they don’t fit her schedule. But be forewarned. Next April could have accepted student visits, and those are generally worth it.
Our DD’18 is traveling next week to visit two schools. She will bring some AP study materials for the plane, but I don’t think she will study much while there.
We are getting ready to head out for visits. I think we are both ready for a break and change of scenery before APs and spring activities.
I took both my kids to visit college during April spring break. I don’t think either of them did any studying. We weren’t gone the entire week for either of them. Most of the colleges had their breaks earlier so classes were in session, it worked out very well.
Election Day, Presidents Day and MLK Day are other days that high schools are often closed but colleges are not. Those days can work well for college visits.
