University of Hartford (83%) and Lander University (67%) have a program where you earn Montessori certification, state (CT/SC) teaching certification and a BS in Education.
Xavier University (88%) has a program, but your BS is in Montessori Education rather than elementary or early childhood.
These options are unique in that almost all other options offered through a university are either Master’s or online programs resulting in Montessori certification but not a BS.
Montessori certification is worldwide, so there are international opportunities for a kid looking to travel.
I really tried to get D22 to look at this program, but she wasn’t interested in UHart.
Forgot to mention U Indiana’s department of Folklore and Ethnomusicology… undergrad and grad. Unique and renowned. Admit rate of 80% or so but truly a gem of a program.
DePaul University has an acceptance rate of 65-70%, but they have a highly-regarded film program. They are pretty well-known for theater as well. And they are generous with merit aid!
Marquette and Saint Louis University have 6 yr direct admit programs into their Physical Therapy schools that are ranked top 20 and top 26 respectively.
D22 is at Saint Louis University and is so thankful to not be worrying about applications for PT school. She also loves that she’ll be done with her schooling a year early (us parents are thrilled at the cost savings).
Springfield College in Massachusetts has a 75% acceptance rate, but their health sciences programs are highly regarded. They have direct admit to their DPT physical therapy program and to their physician’s assistant program, both of which have accelerated options, I believe. Physical Education (teaching) is also exceptional.
Per Princeton Review, U Houston is the top Entrepreneurship program year after year, besting under 50% acceptance Babson.
According to College Transitions, Oregon and SMU are leaders in Advertising while College Factual names Michigan State, SMU, Temple, Washington State and Oregon in its top 10.
