Colleges which produce best writers

<p>^^^ I had to laugh. Even though Amherst is one of my top choices, and I’ve met Dan Brown and he’s actually a very nice guy.</p>

<p>I thought JHU had a good writing program–I don’t know about the quality of the writers it has produced though.</p>

<p>Hollins University (women’s college) has produced a large number of well known authors. An excellent program. </p>

<p>Kenyon is also well known for its authors.</p>

<p>Every student (because there is no honors college) has to write a Junior Thesis (approx. 40 pages) and a Senior Thesis (nationally renowned for their independent study program) its an 80-120 page paper and you have to go infront of a panel at the end to defend your thesis. </p>

<p>After I transferred after Junior Year, I was told that my writing skills were well above other students in my class.</p>

<p>Yepp, Iowa has a great writers workshop program.</p>

<p>yes, I noticed that, but I found it and was curious as I have children about to enter college. Sorry if it bothers you. Perhaps I should have started a new one, but thought this one had worthy information.</p>
