Does anyone know anything about what is happening at Columbia with the tuition strike? I applied ED but now I am feeling less sure. Would love to hear what others are thinking.

Are all of your addresses still there? I hope this isn’t like what happened with Stanford where:
no address, no update app button = rejected
no address, yes update app button = deferred
yes address, no update app button = accepted
I really doubt it though.
It still shows my address, but I don’t have the update app button. What did Stanford do with theirs? I didn’t apply there.

Wait… So everybody has no update button but has address? If that’s the case, I think this information is not helpful. Is there anybody who are in a different situation?

yea I don’t think its helpful, but it was true for Stanford, at least for the people I know that did/didn’t get in. Someone earlier (it now says its deleted) said they didn’t have their address: perhaps they didn’t see it and then did. The reasoning behind this claim is that if you have an update button, it means you got deferred since you will need to update your application to move onto the regular round. If they deleted your address, it means they removed you from their database. If you have an address and no update button, it means you can’t update your application, but you’re still in their database, which means you will be admitted. However, this an probably easy mistake to avoid, and it would be odd if Columbia would make such a mistake.
