GS can be for transfers so that they get a lighter core (full core would be very difficult otherwise), the Columbia Sciences Po and the Columbia Trinity students, students with a GED and at least a year of work, etc. You can be traditional age but you can’t be a senior in HS when you apply. Being 17-19 isn’t the most common though.
