<p>The official answer is that it’s never too late. There are plenty of older people seeking to become doctors as second careers. You can take the pre-med courses at any time, as long as you take them.</p>

<p>As a practical matter, fitting the required courses in two Columbia years will be nearly impossible if you have to deal with lots of major requirements. If you’re thinking about it, you should at least take the intro science courses early on.</p>

I’m pretty sure more than 1/3 of the school is IEOR
and about another third is BME
and then the rest.</p>

<p>i think over 1/3 is a stretch…but since ieor and am are basically the only joke majors in seas, it does make sense that so many do ieor. there are lots of dumb people…</p>

<p>For SEAS, IEOR & BME seem to be quite popular, at least amongst the underclassmen still trying to figure out what to do.</p>
