I’m not sure about that one, I put that the resistance of the wire was insignificant, can someone else say something about that one?

No, that one was definitely emission spectrum

That’s what I put too

Don’t remember

Yes it was oxidation

@ilovediannaagron
- Yes.
- Spectra.
- I skipped that one.
- The thing said EXCEPT from what I believed. I put down the ocean thing cause that has nothing to do with classification… I think?
- Yes.

Yeah that’s the one, I put down ocean. Can someone explain the voltmeter anemometer to me? And what did you say for the other circuit problem (something about putting something somewhere and opening/closing the circuit).

I skipped the opening/closing circuit question, lol.
GAH I’VE BEEN STRESSING OVER THE WHOLE CHALLENGE MATH SECTION THE PAST FEW HOURS.

For the cowboy question in the challenge section, (i can’t remember exact numbers) but I got something like 4 + sqrt 185.

Yeah, I got the same too, but everyone got something different. People got some weird squ root choice or 17.

did you get “not determined because there’s not enough information” for the challenge question about the distances between A, B, & C and finding the difference between A & D? i don’t remember the exact question but it’s somewhere along the lines of that.

I just skipped that, lol.

hahaha i skipped a lot of questions in the challenge section too. i had no idea what base r or whatever that was and the valve thing was hard to.

I’m angry at myself because I took way too long on the base question that I ran out of time to do the hexagon thing which I knew how to do.
Ended answering 9/15 and probably got some wrong too.
Sigh.

lol at least you did better than me! i only answered 6/15 which probably means I won’t be accepted! i’m only a freshman and half the stuff in the math section of the test consisted of things i never learned before but the science was pretty easy for me even though I only took biology honors this year. How did you do on that?

Again, I had a freshman in my school who answered 3 of the challenge math (he said he guessed on two of them). But a solid math and science score got him accepted. I don’t think they weigh the challenge as heavily as the first two sections.

well i guess that means i still might have a chance!

What’s the curve for a sophomore?

think i got a 50/50 for math
60/75 on science
6/15 on challenge math
- does it look like I have a chance?
- What did you guys get for the stuff about batteries and the resisters

yea, since you did well on the math and science sections, you might still have a chance. i only got 6/15 on the challenge math too so i’m kinda worried

Guys don’t worry too much about challenge math judging by the past acceptances it doesn’t seem like they weigh it that heavily. What im most worried about is the science, would 68/75 be considered a good score? And also what did you guys put for that predict the weather question? Snow or changeable or something else?

Math: 48/50
Science: 50/75
Challenge: 6/15

I’m really mad about the whole science thing. My school’s science system is all screwed up (we take really basic physics freshman year, chemistry, then biology) so I hardly knew the answers to any of the biology related questions. Do you think the program takes that into account and then judges based on that?

For the challenge math, can anyone explain the circle lawn area, base, triangle, and the a/x/y problems?

For the cowboy one, I got the one with the 4+sqrt137. How did people get 17? I get that you find the hypotenuse when you draw the picture, but did the 4 get taken into account? sigh I’m certain I have a rejection letter coming this summer. Oh well. But good job to those who have higher stats than I do!

for the predict the weather question i think i put changeable. and for the cowboy one, i got 4+sqrt185(or 137;i forget the number). i also don’t know how people got 17.

@ninjacat14 Just wondering do you go to MHS? Btw I got 4+sqrt137 too. Seems like people are forgetting the 4.
