And for the question with R and E, I’m not sure which one was which, but to the nearest hundreth is more precise, reducing possible error. Thus (max error for hundreths<max error for tenths)

Guys what did u guys get for last 2 of the challege questions
I got D and B

Wait for #14, why would it be 90? Can someone explain this?

it was proportion

1:6=x:540
solve for x u get 90

Was 14 the one about the statues?

But if we’re doing proportions, we have to factor in V=lwh. We can simply say that the first statue is a 6 by 6 by 6 cube. Then the smaller statue, according to proportions, will be 1 by 1 by 1. Therefore, we will have to divide 540 by (6*6) = 15 pints of paint. I think you guys only factored in the proportion of one side (l or w) and forgot the other side, (either l or w).

@DankMeme2019 #14 was about the 749 sheep. I’m pretty sure it was D, 7 percent. How about you guys?

The problem didn’t say anything about it being a 6 by 6 by 6 cube. It just said a 6 foot statue, so you cant assume that you have to divide by 6*6. We just used the 6 feet and divided 540/6 to get 90.

@scietywi yeah i got 7% as well

Yes I got D and the above problem isn’t about the volume, that’s already counted. You just need to count the number of statues not their surface area or anything.

But a statue is 3d not 2d right?

Yeah but you cant assume that it is 6 feet long, 6 feet tall and a cube

Was the bug one 4/5, 2/5?

Yes at the end it was a geometric series.

I honestly don’t think I made it to SHP due to my bad challenge math score. What are my chances? My scores:
Easy Math: 47/50
Science: 67-68/75
Challenge: 6-8/15

We can both agree that the statues are 3d. For simplicity, we are designating the statue to be a rectangular prism.

First Statue Dimensions: Height=6ft, Length=l, Width= w

Then by proportions, the Second Statue’s Dimensions are: Height=1ft, Length= (1/6)l, and Width= (1/6)w

So, (1/6)(1/6)= (1/36)

Now, if we multiply this by 540, we get 15 pints of paint.

To clarify everything, we can compare this to a human being to a lego minifigure. To be proportional, we have to factor in the the two dimensions instead of just one.

@Cwizkid , Your science is awesome! From the thread, I think the science is counted the most.So poor me… :frowning:

For me,
Easy Math: 48~50
Science: 58~65
Challenge: 12~14

What are my chances?

Easy Math: 46-49
Science: 50-55
Challenge: 14-15

Im a Freshman

@DankMeme2019 No #14 was the one with the sheeps and percentages
