<p>interesting, is that how you choose your major also? what about your friends and your girl/boy friends? You’re a smart cookie aren’t you.</p>
<p>To mitigate what I said earlier, I just came across SIG, a pretty big proprietary trading firm, which recruits at Columbia for trading roles and other top schools (Princeton, Penn, MIT, Caltech, Cornell) but not at Harvard. H is still better for finance recruiting overall though.</p>
<p>Part of that may be yield rate, though. When I ran the recruiting for my first consulting firm out of college, we didn’t recruit at Harvard because historically the yield on offers had been low.</p>
