Comforting things to do/coping skills (not political)

Seriously- dogs for the win. My dog can be so silly and makes me laugh when humans make me want to cry. Last week he was in our basement and I started vacuuming on the main level and he came up to look for his favorite toy (a small ball) and carried it back down to the basement. I guess he thought I was going to let the evil vacuum cleaner eat it. :joy:

I agree! I love watching our Aussies play. It’s hard to be grumpy around them.

I sing in a women’s chorus. We are 123 strong going into our concerts Friday and Saturday night (which are sold out!) We are a sisterhood. We are wildly diverse. But we come together to rehearse and to put on this concert. And we will come together again in January to rehearse for a concert in May. This is a constant. It gives me refuge and strength. With my sisters I can weather the coming storm.

I’m currently on limited FB (my local/fitness groups only). I’m reading newspapers on line but not watching any televised news.

I tuned out on certain types of news 4 yr ago and it’s helped a lot. Helps one remember that despite our differences, we all actually have a lot more in common with each other than we realize.

Local news via a pancake antenna and National Geographic documentaries. Highly recommend.

I’m having a really hard time with that now.

Because I feel like I’m not like most of the people in my community. I don’t have that much in common apparently
