<p>As you’ve already submitted one application, the Common App has a record of your name, address, high school, date of birth, parent’s name, parent’s education etc. It’s all tied together. ANY duplication of that information – say your name and your parents name – might result in a lock-out of your original account and the new one you are trying to create. If you get locked out of both accounts, you will have to call the Common Application and explain what you did and why. YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS. Here in the United States it’s called fraud . . . and if you’re caught, it’s called misrepresentation of credentials, which is why this disclaimer is on many college websites:</p>
