<p>Reed college used to have the largest and oldest community garden in Portland, but cleared it out to create new dorms. They suggested to gardeners and the interested community that the college would find a site for a smaller garden, but have more recently “decided” that this is not feasible.<br>
This year, students worked to get permission for a small garden on the west side of campus that will hopefully be productive in the coming years. If you want to be involved in agriculture while you’re at school though, you should probably go somewhere sub-tropical, as Reed’s year only overlaps with the beginning and the end of the growing season.</p>
