Competing with others for admission to USC

I know someone working in admission at USC and they said that, of all their nm scholars who declare HYPS their top choices, there are a ton who get accepted to those schools but choose USC instead
It may not be Ivy but its got a good rep and a lot of good students want to have some fun after working so hard for four years and not kill themselves another 4 years
I know that I am applying to Georgetown and USC RD, and even though Gtown is higher on the USNWR rankings, i might just rather go to USC even if i get accepted to Gtown…

<p>Also if you are thinking of professional schools like law and medicine, college is like high school all over again, higher GPA is a plus. My neighbor’s kids went to USC and got into some competitive medical schools in CA, which I’ve heard are very competitive for CA students.</p>
