Competing with others for admission to USC

Not to mention that SC is in LA which means anyone who has any sort of interest in Business or International Relations is going to have an upper hand being surrounded by one of the economic powerhouses of the country. The internship opportunities at SC for every single major are phenomenal. The School of Cinematic Arts has no rival in the Northeast (or even the rest of the world for the most part). There are many highly ranked majors and even people wishing to do Liberal studies benefit from a large university and a very classic liberal arts curriculum (via Thematic Option). A kid with a high SAT score has many reasons to want to exploit such a rich environment not to mention the fact that USC for undergrad is an extremely solid base for any sort of graduate work. And anyway who wants to freeze in that bleak New England weather, Southern Cali sunshine for the win!
