<p>@Appleska: Try talking to your roommate about your concerns-- I think the non-verbal manner (saying ‘Excuse me’) shouldn’t really be brought up because it’s her personality but when it comes to locking the door, and being considerate of one another = something you should talk to your roommate ASAP. Decide what the policy will be when one person is sleeping (i.e. using headphones, only desk lamp and leaving the main light off, etc). I personally think using the microwave is fine. Some people like night time snacks. If you’re a light sleeper, the sleeping masks and noise-canceling headphones or ear plugs might be worth investing in.</p>
<p>And I have a question:
Are roommates allowed to bring guests over for the night? Particularily the opposite gender when it’s a SINGLE GENDER floor? Like in Orly83’s case… would we be able to bring it up to our RA’s? 'Cause that is unbelievable. >.></p>
