I’m currently a Viterbi student, and I emailed the Viterbi advisors on transferring to this major, and I got a reply saying that all you would have to do is complete a change of major form to get into the major if you’re already a Viterbi students, so THIS MAJOR IS NOT LIMITED TO INCOMING FRESHMEN.

My question though is for nberg5, since i’m still a little iffy on transferring to this major. I’m looking for something with a little bit more business-y element to it, as opposed to drowning in a plethora of CS courses. I mean, you say it’s a good balance between CS and business (since it’s about 40 units from both marshall and viterbi), but lets say I wanted to go into business in a tech related field after i graduate. Would the 40 units of CS be useful? Or would I be better off applying to marshall and doing some sort of minor from Viterbi instead? I’m seriously looking at this major instead of just jumping into marshall head on because, although I want to do something business, I don’t want to end up like every other business major oblivious to anything science-y or technical. Though, I don’t want to end up getting killed by CS courses like i was with CHE courses… getting my gist?

Haha, sorry for a complicated description of my scenario, thanks for the help.
