<p>Hi, OP! I’m the mom of a '13 Colby grad, and I can tell you that her major in Environmental Science with a concentration in Marine Science was GREAT–the opportunities were amazing, and the Colby marine program is only getting better. During her Colby years she traveled to the Galapagos, did a semester in the Turks & Caicos, and went to French Polynesia. She’s now had two amazing marine research internships, just presented research at a professional conference, and is looking at grad schools. AND–everywhere she goes, and I mean EVERYWHERE, she runs into other Colby grads–most recently a visiting scientist at the research lab where she’s currently working, who had her same advisor 15 years ago! The Colby network is ridiculously strong. We’re constantly amazed that such a small, seemingly isolated school seems to have its grads absolutely everywhere!</p>
