Concern about a fraternity. Should I get involved?

Most of the frats at CU are not part of the student organizations (not recognized by the university). I think there are 3 or 4 that are student groups, but the rest are independent.

There are about 16 fraternities recognized by CU. There are other completely independent fraternities as well.
