Hope your knee(s) are on the mend!

Musicmom, Do you have a contract saying you chose Charleston? I bet they placed wrong order.

music - we put in a brick paver patio at my parents house years and years ago. It still looks great today. The colors do vary a little bit on them. We used these pavers ( [Patio Brick Paver Stock Photo & Stock Images | Bigstock](<a href=“Patio Brick Paver Image & Photo (Free Trial) | Bigstock”>Patio Brick Paver Image & Photo (Free Trial) | Bigstock) )

If you got something and it’s not exactly what you want, I would return it. You have to live with it and like it. Are you sure the lighting isn’t different in your yard compared to the place where you looked at them? Shade could make a difference in the apperance.

Fortunately, we do have a contract specifying brand, style name and color of paver.

We expect some variation due to lighting and lot number but these are so not the item we picked out. I’m hoping for honest mistake…contractor disordered, brick yard filled order incorrectly, contractors crew picked up wrong order…I’m good at making things up, can you tell?

So, we are meeting contractor at brick yard tomorrow…I’ve loaded a bunch of the offending item to bring with me. If brick yard tells me these are correct then the manufacturer QC batch to batch really stinks…and I really doubt that.

So, stay tuned…a special Monday mystery will be resolved right here.

Fender, those patio pavers are classic, and I like the color variation.

I’m no good at creating links here…but our choice has the words Holland and
Charleston blend in it.

Polymeric sand was used in our paver joints. Its supposed to minimize weeds and ants. I think polymeric sand has some disadvantages like staining the pavers. I didnt notice any discoloration in our pavers. It still looks good after five years.

How did things work out?

Well, the crew is unloading our pavers as we speak.
It did turn out to be a simple mix up. Happy about that.

Can’t wait to see the finished product later today!

Aren’t you glad you didn’t let them install the wrong ones!?

Yes!
My husband called me when he beat me home and saw the finished walk.
He was babbling about how much he loved it, how incredible the exacting cuts made in the curve to the porch etc,etc etc.

It’s a bunch of bricks, how nice can they be?
Pretty nice! Amazing craftsmanship, and yes, the pavers I ordered.
We don’t get to hire out for improvements very often so I will enjoy this small one.

Thanks to my friends here who listened to my nuttiness over bricks!

No nuttiness. Turns out you were right! How satisfying is that?

Can we see a photo?

Sorry, I’m only marginally computer-able!

If you want to just see our paver choice, you can Google

It is raining here right now and the colors are different than dry and also beautiful, IMHO.
