I believe you need to do your income using the calendar year. So if you are completing a 2021-2022 financial aid form, you need to include all income earned in the 2019 calendar year.

Fiscal year doesn’t matter!

Those are my thoughts too. Report all income received from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019.
