Like I said before, you need to talk to a real expert such as a UC counselor before you reach any conclusions. A call to riverside might be a good place to start like the quote above I posted says. A lot of people go into those kind of jobs because they want to help kids achieve their college dreams. I expect they will be happy to hear about your current academic success and be willing to help you further your education.
It sounds like you want to go to a higher ranked school such as UCLA instead of Riverside. Maybe it is possible. Not all the rules and procedures are put online or known to people that read this forum. If you were willing to go back to Riverside the UC schools have procedures for readmission. And the Cal state schools have their own policies and procedures. If the UC system is not in the cards for you it may still be possible to go to a pretty good CSU.
