<p>Just a side note… American University is NOT in Virginia, nor is it a public school so instate wouldn’t matter.</p>
<p>As for JMU, they are completely focused on your grades and rigor of your classes and dont seem to care much for SAT scores or extracurriculars. The personal statement is also a big factor. Also once you apply make sure you’re first semester senior year grades are good because that’s also a deciding factor!</p>
