If you’ve solved the puzzle, think about a grouping that includes one word from each of the 4 categories. I think it’s quite clear what the guess was, and why that guess was a first choice. The puzzle editor is back to making traps again.

Ah, I hadn’t seen that logical combination that made an all-colors guess. Tricky.
I guessed blue immediately so didn’t notice the trap.
